Manoj Ramnani

The company’s vision is a direct result of Mr. Ramnani’s experience working with
clients in various industries, ranging in scale from small to large. He has more
than 10 years of experience in the IT industry, and has management experience in
healthcare, eLearning, IT consulting and enterprise mobile application vertical
industries. He has held key senior management roles at MRInfosys, Astute, Acutus,
KeyAge, epicMD, and Astegic, among other organizations. He is a graduate of George
Washington University’s School of Business, with a degree in Information Systems
Management.
Tarun Butaney
Co-founder
Vice President, Product Development
Mr. Butaney has over a decade of IT experience, most recently as senior analyst
and developer at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. He received his
bachelor’s degree in computer science and finance from Bombay University, and achieved
Computer Programming Certification from Apple. He also holds formal certifications
in CCNA, project management and public speaking. He earned an additional degree
in Computer Networking and Architecture from the University of California (San Jose).
Abid Chaudhry
Manager, Marketing and Administration
Mr. Chaudhry’s background is in financial systems operations, with additional experience
in the technology industry. Prior to joining Mobile Spectrum, he held leadership
positions at Merrill Lynch and The Washington Post. He brings his knowledge of business
processes, marketing, Web strategy and product development to the ongoing development
and implementation of the Mobile Spectrum platform of products. He especially welcomes
the challenge to use his technology expertise to match the specific needs of each
client, finding the most efficient and expeditious solutions to solve business problems.
Mr. Chaudhry is a graduate of American University, with a degree in International
Finance.
Mobile Spectrum’s Advisory Board provides invaluable input and guidance in terms of company direction, technology, alliances, finance, and solutions for specific industries.
Jim Whittaker
Mr. Whittaker is President of Facilities Engineering Associates, specializing in facilities asset management and overall facility management technologies. He has managed numerous facility engineering projects for commercial, institutional and government clients on a global basis. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Vermont, and his master’s degree in the same discipline from the University of Colorado. Additionally, Mr. Whittaker is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Christopher Scordo
Mr. Scordo provides product advisory, technical leadership, and operational strategy with a focus on both government and private-sector clients. As the Director of Technology for InPhonic, a publicly traded wireless services company, Mr. Scordo played a key role in managing client relationships and coordinating widely dispersed software development teams. Before his tenure with InPhonic, Chris co-founded Skyware Group, a professional-services firm in New York City, which was acquired in 2001. Chris also co-founded the Mobile Solutions Practice for Etensity, a worldwide technology and consulting firm, where he worked as a lead developer and software architect. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University.
Amir Sohrabi
Mr. Sohrabi is the Executive Vice President and co-founder of MSPX. There, he is responsible for creating strategic alliances that create opportunities by establishing relationships with technology manufacturers and systems integrators, thereby expanding the company’s business relationships with global enterprises. His extensive knowledge in the areas of channel and direct sales, marketing, business development, and enterprise security is a valuable asset for MSPX, its partners and its worldwide customers. In this role, he has successfully executed multiple projects in North America, Europe, Latin America, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Mr. Sohrabi has lived, worked and traveled in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America. He holds a master’s degree in Management Information Systems from George Washington University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in management and economics from Strayer University.
Jean-Luc Park
Mr. Park began his investment career at Draper Triangle and Lycos Ventures of Pittsburgh. He is currently working in Calvert Funds’ Special Equities Program, focused on socially responsible private equity investments. He also is an executive director for the MIT Enterprise Forum of Washington/Baltimore. Mr. Park earned dual bachelor’s degrees from Carnegie Mellon University; a bachelor of science degree in Math, Computer Science and Industrial Management, and a bachelor of arts degree in economics. He also holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration (now Tepper).
Rajesh Rai
Mr. Rai is a Partner and Co-founder of New Markets Venture Partners (NMVP). He serves as a board observer for FortiusOne, Artifact Software and Innovative Biosensors. Prior to co-founding NMVP, Raj launched new businesses at Godrej-GE Appliances, worked on product planning at Federal Express, optimized product design at Kirloskar Electric, and managed an educational services franchise. Raj has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from REC Suratkal, India and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business where he was awarded the Lamone Entrepreneur Scholarship and the Dean's Scholarship. He has completed an Executive program in Private Equity and Venture Capital at the Harvard Business School.
